Needle bed adapters and functional test equipment
We have many years of experience in the construction and wiring of functional test equipment. Most of the devices are needle bed adapters which are used in the production plants of two German premium brands of the automotive industry.
The DUT (the assembled electronic board) is contacted with the test adapter via needles and plugs. For optimized process times, two test adapters are usually installed in one test cabinet. An integrated test PC takes over the pneumatic and electronic control and tests the proper function of the test fixture. After successful testing, the electronic board is released for further processing in the vehicle.
At EMSsourcing, trained employees wire the very complex test adapters with up to 800 cable connections according to the specifications in our customers’ circuit documents.
